This institution began life as the Citizens National Bank of Hagerstown, Maryland in 1871 before relocating to Washington, DC in 1874. No survivors are known from the Maryland venture, while this example is the tenth to be reported with the District title. It is a well circulated but intact note with decent color and solid margins.
