Torrington, CT - $5 1882 Brown Back Fr. 477 The Brooks National
Bank Ch. # 5231 PCGS Gem New 66PPQ.A simply beautiful $5 Brown Back that is the finest of a small group of survivors from this short lived private name bank. Last on the market in our 2013 Central States auction, it features incredible print quality, full originality, excellent centering, and spectacular colors and signatures, including that of Isaac W. Brooks as President. It sold for almost $4,500 eleven years ago and should certainly challenge that number this evening.
