Unique for Bank and Town Turlock Red Seal - First Ever Public Offering

Turlock, CA - $10 1902 Red Seal Fr. 613 The First National Bank Ch. # (P)7738 PMG Very Fine 20.
This incredible California rarity is the only note reported from this short-lived Stanislaus County bank that was the sole issuer in this central California location. Opening in 1905, when Turlock was a small farming community of barely 1,000 people (as opposed to over 70,000 today), this institution issued just 677 sheets of Red Seals before closing its doors forever in 1907. To date, this $10 is the only note reported from this charter and we are pleased to be able to offer it to the collecting fraternity for the first time tonight. Fortunately, this sole survivor is very attractive for the grade, displaying nice color, bold pen signatures, and even, problem free wear. Estimating unique notes, particularly from a popular state like California, is always a challenge so we will be conservative and let the bidders decide what it takes to bring home this Golden State trophy note tonight.
