Santa Barbara, CA - $50 1882 Date Back Fr. 563 The Santa Barbara
County National Bank Ch. # (P)2456 PMG Very Fine 20.A rare type and denomination from this bank, which elected to issue only the high denomination notes during the Second and Third charter periods. This is one of just 28 1882 $50 Date Backs reported for all California banks, according to the National Currency Foundation census and one of seven reported for this charter. It is a moderately circulated piece that has had some stains lightened, but it retains nice color for the grade and dark signatures.
