San Rafael, CA - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 602 The Marin County
National Bank Ch. # (P)10177 PMG Choice Very Fine 35.Only large size notes were issued from this Marin County bank, which lasted until 1924. While just over a dozen pieces are listed in the census, this charter has had very few public appearances in recent years. This offering is one of the better survivors and it features bright paper and vibrant ink colors. Just a small stain is mentioned by PMG that truly affects nothing. This note should generate serious bidding interest tonight as this community simply has a far larger supply of buyers than it does notes.
