Appealing $10 San Jose National Gold Bank Note
San Jose, CA - $10 1874 Fr. 1148 The Farmers National
Gold Bank Ch. # 2158 PMG Very Fine 20.A rare $10 National Gold Bank Note in this state of preservation. PMG has graded only three examples in all grades combined, a Fine 15 and two at Very Fine 20, including this example, each with the usually seen repairs. This pleasing example has had some minor restorations, but otherwise, is a very attractive note with excellent color and signatures along with a boldly defined gold coin vignette on the back. In our 2019 ANA auction, we sold a PCGS Very Fine 20 example, with the usual repairs, for $16,800.
