San Francisco, CA- $5 Original National Gold Bank Note Fr. 1136 The First National Gold Bank Ch. # 1741An incredibly appealing National Gold Bank Note that is one of the very finest that we have ever had the pleasure of handling. The colors and paper quality are just about as nice as these ever come, and the overall appearance is certain to please even the most discerning of collectors. It has, in fact, been graded in the past by another auction company as Extremely Fine. CAA has sold this piece twice before, once in September of 1999, when it brought $9900 after a rousing floor battle, and again in May of 2000, where it realized an even stronger $13,750. Since that time it has been graded Very Fine 20 by CGA, a grade which is quite conservative. Expect this lovely note to now realize...
