San Francisco, CA - $5 1870 Fr. 1136 The First National Gold Bank Ch. # 1741A high grade National Gold Bank Note that last appeared in our 2009 FUN sale where we described it as: "An incredibly appealing National Gold Bank Note that is one of the very finest that we have ever had the pleasure of handling. The colors and paper quality are just about as nice as these ever come, and the overall appearance is certain to please even the most discerning of collectors. PCGS has graded none higher than this wonderful PCGS Very Fine 35 example with deep signatures. The fading and ink loss which occurs with this issue especially on the back is simply not present.
