Pomona, CA - $5; $5 1902 Plain Backs Fr. 599 The First NB Ch. # (P) 3518; 3518Two $5 Plain Backs with the same Friedberg number on the same bank that have many differences. The older Fine note with soft surfaces has a geographic sort letter, one bank and one Treasury serial number, "or other securities" clause, and the cashier is W.A. Kennedy, though the rubber stamped signature has faded except for the first couple of letters. The more recent Fine-VF example has no geographic sort letter, two bank serial numbers, "deposited with the Treasurer" clause, and the president is W.A. Kennedy.
