Chico, CA - $10 1902 Date Back Fr. 618 The Butte County National Bank Ch. # (P)9294 PMG Very Fine 25.This very nice example comes from a very rare northern California bank which only issued Date Backs and Plain Backs before liquidating in 1922. It is one of just five pieces reported and the finest of that quintet with most of the other known examples in very low grade with problems. Crossing the auction block for the first time, this bright mid-grade $10 Date Back features bold ink colors and clear pen signatures.
