Alturas, CA - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 624 The First National Bank Ch. # (P)7219 PMG Very Fine 30.This offering is a scarce note from the only issuer to operate in far northern Modoc County. Just large size were emitted by this charter that elected to close its doors in 1930. Just eleven pieces are currently reported, including this $10. Last on the market in the sale of the Krakover collection in 1990, this Plain Back is a bright and crisp note with nice color, legible stamped signatures, and even wear.
