Rare Series 1929 Juneau, Alaska Note
Juneau, AK - $10 1929 Ty. 1 The First NB Ch. # 5117This is the ultimate note for any set of state capital examples, or for any state set for that matter. It comes from by far the scarcest of Alaska's three small size issuers, and from the only bank in this remote state capital. A mere thirteen Series 1929 specimens make up the entire Juneau small size census, with this piece once part of the extensive Peter Huntoon collection. We have not been able to offer a Series 1929 example from here since our 2013 FUN auction when a lower graded $10 realized $14,100. In a considerably more sophisticated market, expect this appealing PMG Very Fine 25 note to easily surpass that figure.
