Fr. 2231-B $10,000 1934 Federal Reserve Note. PMG Choice
Uncirculated 63.A very pretty example of our nation's highest circulating denomination. The paper is white and the inks are ideal on this example. The back reveals a large amount of embossing that includes both serial numbers. Serial number B00003065A in this lot was a part of the Binion Hoard which consisted of 100 Series 1934 Fr. 2231-B notes. The example in this lot does have minor repairs. We have auctioned only one other example of this Friedberg number since 2022. It was a PMG 64 piece with minor repairs and it brought $270,000 in January 2024. Our current offering and the 2024 note are much alike and when the gavel falls, we would expect similar results.
