Rare and Unusual Registered Replacement Bond

U. S. Victory Liberty Loan 4 3/4% Gold Bond of 1922-1923 $50 May 20, 1919
This is a rather intriguing Victory Liberty Loan Bond that is not only the scarcer registered bond variety but it is also a replacement bond. However, instead of bearing a serial number with a star suffix, it carries a serial number that was rubber stamped on the bond with purple ink. We are unable to find any record of a similar bond appearing anywhere and, therefore, are led to believe that this bond could very well be unique. It has a few folds and some staple holes but any imperfections are more than offset by this colorful bond's unusual status. Very Fine-Extremely Fine.
