Pennsylvania Land Office Document 1794.
A 1794 document issued to Solomon Maxfield for a "tract of land containing four hundred acres, bounded on the West by land the same day granted to George Trasey..." Maxfield was a merchant from New Castle, Delaware who acquired acres of land in the counties of Luzerne or Northumberland in the late 1700s, an area that would be known for its anthracite coal mines. This document was printed and sold by Joseph Crukshank, Also signed by Samuel Truxon and Peter Notley. A rare early Pennsylvania document. Three horizontal folds and some staining are noticed on this document that is not graded.
