North American Land Company 10 Shares Certificate September 14, 1795.Just the second of these stock certificates that we have auctioned. This example with serial number 2016 is signed by "Robt. Morris" as president of the company. There is ink erosion in Morris' signature. Dimensions are approximately 12.25 by 10 inches. The annual dividend is for not less than $6. It is countersigned by James Marshall (Morris' son-in-law and brother of Chief Justice John Marshall).
