Description

Possibly Unique Early Eagle

Incredible Currency Pieces in an Eagle With Partially Unfurled Wings
This perched eagle has his wings mostly open but not spread, as if just landed or preparing to take off. It's of a very early manufacture, and somewhat irregularly formed. It is absolutely loaded with far larger than normal pieces of currency. And it is extremely rare. The head has been either partially or wholly glued back onto the neck, but that is of no consequence on a piece that is possibly unique. Wade and I collected for a total of about 75 years. This is the only example of an eagle in this pose that either of us managed to locate. One of Wade's premier pieces.
From the Wade Boughton Macerated Collection
