Well Preserved with Natural Paper Wave
Fr. 375 $20 1891 Treasury Note PMG Gem Uncirculated 66
EPQ.A plate letter A Open Back $20 Treasury Note with serial number B91593, this offering does not have a previously recorded auction appearance. Natural paper wave is observed within the two large unprinted areas on the back of this well preserved example. All 1890 and 1891 Treasury Notes have serial numbers that end in a printer's embellishment mark of a solid star. Printer's embellishment marks were used by the BEP to signify the end of a serial number so that digits could not be added in order to change the serial number.
