Fr. 368 $10 1890 Treasury Note PMG Choice Uncirculated
64.Seral number A4480776 first appeared in the marketplace on a 1983 fixed price list. The only public offering since then by this Ornate Back $10 was as part of our January 1997 auction as lot 3057. We were able to inspect the note in hand at the time and graded it Choice New with a comment on its terrific paper. At the time, we suspected the color of the Treasury Seal was due to under inking as the note itself is untouched and without signs of fading. In this matter, our opinion has remained the same.
