Description

The Rarest Of the 1891 Treasury Fives

Fr. 365 $5 1891 Treasury Note PCGS Extremely Fine 45.
By far the scarcest of the 1891 Treasury Fives. Track & Price lists only 26 examples. PCGS has graded just seven examples, none of which are Uncirculated. The note bears the vignette of Union General Thomas, the least well known of any of the generals portrayed on this series, although his Civil War contributions were likely the most valuable.
