Description

Gem McPherson $2 Coin Note

Fr. 358 $2 1891 Treasury Note PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
This General McPherson Deuce is very well centered, and it has perfect colors along with all its deep, original embossing from the pressure of the plate. The note is loaded with eye appeal, and it should easily satisfy the fussiest of Type Note collectors. General McPherson had an illustrious career in the Union Army through several campaigns, but he is primarily remembered for his major role at the siege of Vicksburg. This is a type that is extremely difficult to locate with perfect color, great originality, and good centering. This one numbers among the very finest we have handled.
