Description
Fr. 330 with Both Rarity and Grade
Fr. 330 $50 1891 Silver Certificate PMG Extremely Fine
40.A rare Friedberg number that escaped even the grasp of Albert Grinnell is available to you in this lot. In fact, the serial number E23682 note in this lot is one of only eight examples recorded by Track & Price. Also, one of those is hidden away in the collection of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, leaving a mere seven pieces to satisfy the demand of collectors. Of those seven, our current offering has earned all by itself, the second highest grade that is listed in Track & Price. This note was last offered at auction in 2013 when it received a winning bid of $41,125. Since then the highest graded Fr. 330 to participate at auction was a VF 20. This lightly handled, charming $50 Silver is sure to please by combining both rarity and grade.
