Fr. 317 $20 1891 Silver Certificate Extremely Fine-About New. A much rarer number, and a beautiful piece, with ideal color, good margins and excellent eye appeal. Fr. 317 is a considerably underrated number: we've sold only nine, the best of which was an About Extremely Fine which realized over $1700 in May of 2000. Fewer than 50 examples are known in all grades combined. This particular note has been off the market since 1995, when our consignor acquired it.
