Rare "Diamond Back" Design Manning $20 Silver
Fr. 315 $20 1886 Silver Certificate PMG Choice Fine 15.The "Diamond Back" design is featured on this well circulated but fully intact Manning $20. Our current offering is one of just 30 examples enumerated in the Track & Price Census for the number. The large brown scalloped Treasury Seal at left on the face remains bold for the grade, and the green ink colors on this note's back are bright. Agriculture and Industry flank a portrait of 37th Secretary of the Treasury Daniel Manning at center. The most recent comparable example of this number that we have auctioned was certified at the PMG Choice Fine 15 level and realized $4,320 in June 2021.
