Description

Fr. 299 $10 1891 Silver Certificate Extremely Fine. Original embossing, ideal paper surfaces, excellent margins and great eye appeal all combine on this very lightly circulated Tombstone Ten. The Tombstone nickname is derived from the oddly shaped frame of the Hendricks vignette and the fact that the note was issued shortly after his death in office during his Vice Presidency for the first administration of Grover Cleveland. There is some minor paper-clip rust staining visible only from the back.
