Fr. 274 $5 1899 Chief PCGS 68PPQ Top-Pop at Either Service
Fr. 274 $5 1899 Silver Certificate PCGS Superb Gem New 68PPQ.The single highest graded note from the mid-west collection of old time type notes. This Superb Gem Fr. 274 was acquired by our consignor from Aubrey Bebee in November of 1954. It is the top-pop piece from both services combined. At PCGS it is top-pop by two grades with its closest competitor a 66. PMG has graded a single 67. In fact, both services combined have only graded six Chief 68s not including this incredible 274. There is no need whatever to describe the attributes of this stunning Gem. Suffice it to say, if you can think of the adjective (no, not that adjective) it applies to this beauty. Likely to remain for a very long time if not forever as top-pop from both services. Incredible quality!
