Fr. 272 $5 1899 Silver Certificate PCGS Banknote About Unc 53.The Fr. 272 Lyons-Treat signature combination is a bit scarcer than other Chief $5 numbers. Our current offering displays nice color with serial number embossing and attractive margins. We auctioned a PMG Choice AU 58 graded piece in January 2024 for $3,600. The note offered here has a spindle hole which is mentioned on the back of the PCGS Banknote label.
