Striking Gem 66PPQ Fr. 268 $5 Educational
Fr. 268 $5 1896 Silver Certificate PCGS Gem New 66PPQ.When we first gazed upon this $5 Educational, we said to ourselves, "Plate letter D example." Yes, it is, with broad, balanced margins encircling this lovely, well preserved note. Furthermore, we measured the back margins with a ruler and the observed result was that the face to back registration is around only 2 mm from staking a claim on perfection. Add ideal inks and paper to the equation and you have in summation a striking example for the Gem 66EPQ/PPQ grade. The last Fr. 268 notes that we auctioned at this third party grade were in 2022. The third party grade and winning bids were PMG 66 EPQ $30,000 in May 2022, PCGS Banknote 66 PPQ $31,200 again in May 2022, and PCGS Banknote 66 PPQ $22,800 in October 2022.
