35.Serial number 1746248 in this lot is not listed in Track & Price as of this writing. Friedberg 268 is the first of three numbers for this collector favorite design with a large allegorical vignette portraying Electricity as the dominant force in the world. In fact, neither the White House nor the Capitol had electricity until it was installed in 1891. This plate letter D $5 Silver is in a comment free holder. The third party grade of 35, with or without comments, has consistently brought over $5,000 in our auctions since May 2023.
