These 1891 Open Back Five Dollar Silvers are less expensive than the much more common Silver Dollar Back type, due entirely to the popularity of the latter. In reality, Silver Dollar Backs are more than twice as common, but they sell for more as the five silver dollars on the back seem to enamor people.
