Superb Two-Digit Windom
Fr. 245 $2 1891 Silver Certificate Superb Gem New. This is the slightly scarcer of the two Windom numbers and it's a real beauty. This is serial number 36, a note whose history can be traced all the way back to an Abe Kosoff price list of the mid-1950's. The note has gorgeous margins, impeccable color and ideal original surfaces with easily-seen embossing. This is one of the early Windoms that has the deep blood red seal that helps make these notes so attractive. A great piece of currency.Auction Info
