Fr. 236 $1 1899 Silver Certificate CGA Gem Uncirculated 65. A simply lovely Black Eagle that is greatly enhanced by the eight digit solid serial number R99999999A. The note has lots of numismatic history attached to it. It was previously lot 1983 in the Abe Kosoff 1968 ANA auction. The note has such deep, original embossing that it can be clearly seen through the third-party grading service holder. Solids always cause a stir and solid 9s are the rarest of them all.
