Fr. 233 $1 1899 Silver Certificate PCGS Very Choice New 64PPQ.A most attractive single-digit Black Eagle that bears serial number T8T. It correctly resides in a PCGS 64PPQ holder and it is one of the nicer single-digit pieces we have handled in quite some time. Low number Black Eagles were ubiquitous in the 1990s when a multiple-decades accumulation was being broken up. Since that time, they have spread out over a very large number of collectors and are reappearing on the market quite slowly. Recently we have had some very large sales that did not contain a single example.
