Fr. 227 $1 1899 Silver Certificate Superb Gem New. Fr. 227 is a much scarcer Black Eagle Number. We've sold only 33 as compared to 112 Fr. 226a's, 110 Fr. 228's and 476 Fr. 233's. In fact, we have handled the same number of Fr. 231's as Fr. 227's. This note is an exceptional-condition example, even for a Black Eagle. It's simply perfect, with every possible positive attribute, including original embossing as bold as we've ever seen. Est. 750UP
