Superb 1891 $1 "Martha" Silver Certificate
Fr. 223 $1 1891 Silver Certificate PCGS Superb Gem New
67PPQ.By far the most common of all of the Martha Silver Certificates, including both 1896 and 1891, this note is an ideal example to represent the type. No additional value attaches for the Friedberg number. As the PCSG 67PPQ grade would imply, the note is essentially perfect with ideal centering, vibrant color, and bright, white paper. A perusal of auction records reveals that, over the past several years, notes at this grade level have consistently realized strong, four-figure prices.
