Fr. 73 $5 1880 Legal Tender PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.One of the more attractive of the Pioneer Family series, as the large red seal contrasts perfectly with the deep blue serial numbers. Because of the placement of the seal, exactly opposite the large open area on the back, the heavy original embossing can be seen from across the room. In last year's Long Beach auction, an identically graded piece fetched $3,360.
