Fr. 61a $5 1862 Legal Tender PMG Gem Uncirculated 66
EPQ.Few if any of the early Legal Tender notes will even come near this beautiful piece in grade. A total of 11,900,000 pieces were issued with a minuscule 871 notes listed in Track & Price in all grades. Of that number, PMG has graded just eight pieces at the 66 level with none finer. For comparison purposes, we auctioned another one of those PMG 66 EPQ notes which realized $10,800 in our last FUN auction.
