Fr. 40 $1 1923 Legal Tender PCGS Superb Gem New 68PPQ.This serial number A588B note is just three digits removed from the equally spectacular 68PPQ example, which we sold at this past winter's FUN auction for just a touch under $8,000. The 68 level is rarely reached by any large size type note, but this piece certainly appears to have earned every point.
