Uncirculated 64 EPQ.A superb uncut $1 Legal Tender sheet in almost every respect, this piece is wholly original, boasts perfect embossing and colors, and has excellent eye appeal. Only a slender bottom margin precludes consideration of a full Gem grade for this pretty sheet. It is unique for this Friedberg number, with no others ever rumored to exist. As explained in the introduction about the five unique Speelman-White uncut sheets we are offering tonight, it bears the following illustrious pedigree: sent to the Treasury Department in 1923; H, V, Speelman; Wayte Raymond; Col. E. H. R. Green; F. C. C. Boyd; John J. Ford, Jr.; Oscar G. Schilke; Ben Levin; Stanley Kesselman; Herman Halpern; and to our consignor in 1993.
