EPQ.With an approximate print run of around 56,000 notes printed, the Fr. 33 with the Rosecrans-Huston signatures and large brown seal is the rarest of the 1880 $1 Legal Tenders, and by a significant margin. Track & Price lists just 44 pieces for this number, including this appealing example that has ample margins all around, great color, and fully original paper surfaces. The last note we offered at this grade level brought $6,600 in our 2022 FUN auction.
