Fr. 28a $1 1880 Legal Tender PMG Choice Very Fine 35 EPQ.A recently discovered sub-variety of Fr. 28 was added to the 21st Friedberg edition in 2017. "Series of 1880" is found in the top margin at center on the back, and the BEP imprint is located in the back bottom margin. Friedberg 28 notes have the series date in the back left margin, and the BEP imprint is found in the back right margin. Very few Fr. 28a pieces have been documented, with just five pieces listed in Track & Price, including this example which displays great color, original surfaces, and just some light folds.
