Fr. 27 $1 1878 Legal Tender Superb Gem New. This early Ace has broad margins and excellent color. Even the red overprint remains bright. Both face and back are beautifully centered, and the note has retained its original embossing. This is the unwatermarked variety with the lighter blue security stain.Auction Info
