Fr. 17c $1 1862 Legal Tender PMG Very Fine 25.A tough Friedberg number variety with this example exhibiting only moderate, problem free wear, and very nice color for the grade. This plate letter A specimen is from Series 204 and bears face plate 22. The top edge reveals part of the paper guide line arrow and a partial plate number. This ace last crossed the auction block in 1992. Predecessor plate to the five Fr. 16a plates 17-19-20-22-24.
