EPQ.Bright, fresh, and clearly original this earliest one dollar Legal Tender type has the freshness of paper and color as if it were printed earlier today, as opposed to over 150 years ago. Held to the 64 grade only by its top margin, otherwise, we would be looking at an unquestioned Gem. In our recent FUN auction, two other PMG 64 EPQ notes brought $4,320 and $4,920.
