Fr. 16c $1 1862 Legal Tender PCGS Banknote Choice Unc 64 Details.The portrait of Salmon P. Chase, 6th Chief Justice of the United States and 25th Secretary of the Treasury, seems especially sharp on this well-printed example of this early $1 Legal that has even margins. A small stain was covered up above Chase's portrait, therefore the third party comments of minor masked stain and minor design redrawn.
