Fr. 16a $1 1862 Legal Tender PMG About Uncirculated 50.The Fr. 16a has National Bank Note Company printed twice at the bottom of the note and an ABNCo. monogram at the right edge. A tremendous difference in scarcity exists between the Fr. 16 and the Fr. 16a, there are approximately 75 examples and over 2,000 Fr. 16s. Staining is displayed on the back top edge.
