"A very rare number, with only thirteen examples known in all grades combined. This is the sole Fr. 130 that PMG has yet graded, and it quite likely could stay that way into the future. The only graded example to reach auction was a PCGS VG-8 that sold in 2006. This lovely note is one of the finest of its type in existence (Track& Price shows nothing in the census above XF). One of the two Track & Price XFs is this note, which we graded XF in 1992. It is only when important collections such as Tom's reach the market that collectors have the opportunity to add these very rare numbers to their holdings." That was the description that we used when we sold this rare number as part of the Tom Flynn Collection in April 2008. At that sale, it hammered for $28,000. The census has changed little since that time. PMG has now graded a total of two Fr. 130s, this note and one other, both at the 35 level. PCGS has graded three examples, the highest of which is a 40.
