Fr. 124b $20 1862 Legal Tender PCGS Very Fine 30.This attractive Very Fine $20 Legal Tender is from Series 12, and is part of a newly designated number in the Friedberg reference, Paper Money of the United States. Our census records show just two auction appearances thus far, though some previously recorded Fr. 124s will no doubt include Fr. 124b's. Nice, problem-free examples of the "common," but widely sought after Fr. 124s, easily command near $5000. That will be the yard stick for this piece, which may prove to be a scarce number.
