Gorgeous $10 1923 Legal Tender
Fr. 123 $10 1923 Legal Tender PMG Gem Uncirculated 66
EPQ.This gorgeous plate letter D Legal Tender beauty returns to the auction block after 31 years. Ideal color and natural paper ripples testify to the originality of this Jackson $10. PMG has graded only four higher, and that by a single grade point. We have seen an increase in the amounts needed to bring home a third party graded example at this grade level. Our archives disclose that this Friedberg number has nicely rebounded in recent years. We had a PCGS Banknote 66 PPQ realize $15,000 in April 2021. That same note went on to fetch $22,800 in October 2022. Our latest offering was a different note graded PMG 66 EPQ that crossed our auction block to the tune of $26,400 in September 2023. One can look forward to this trend continuing when it comes to Gem quality examples.
