Description

Fr. 118 $10 1901 Legal Tender Fine. Despite Friedberg and Grey Sheet listings, all Bisons are not created equal, as the Gengerke census of large size paper money attests to. 118s are firmly ensconced in the second highest position of rarity. In fact, this is only our ninth offering of this Friedberg number in five years of our bimonthly internet only auctions, and it is also seldom found in our Signature auctions. This is an attractive note for the grade, with its healthy red overprint, even wear, and white fields. A lightly soiled spot is at top center, but in no way does it detract from the rarity or appeal of this note from this classic design.
